CCTV cameras
Menwith Hill's fence has a camera approximately every ten fence posts
apart, especially around the north fence line and the NE sections of fence.
These cameras are looking along the fence line.
There are many internal cameras in the radome and antenna fields that
are mounted on approximately 8m high poles, which are easy to spot before
they spot you.
All cameras have an infra red capability. In the dark, you can see two
red spots below the camera that shows that this camera is using infra
red.
If you are facing the main entrance, there are CCTV cameras watching
the main gate.
However, a camera is only as good as its operator and you can see which
direction it is pointing in.
Lighting.
Menwith Hill is brightly lit, except for the antenna fields and the surrounding
sheep fields. Most of the lighting is normal street lighting.
